IMPORTANT CHANGES TO NOTE:
Attached are the registration forms for
the last three state championships, the FITA Field, the Animal and the FITA
Target. Please remember to include all the information requested on all of the
applications. Phone numbers, email addresses, style, class, division and score
average are all important information that makes the tournament committee able
to do most of the work prior to each tournament. The main delay of starting
each state tournament is the lack of pertinent information on pre-registration
forms and late registration in general. If at all possible please pre-register
even if it is call the VP of Tournament (Sue Blickenstaff) the day before the
tournament.
For those of you who are MAA Only members and
are not a member of the NFAA, your renewal application was attached to your January
newsletter. Please remember that if you have not renewed your MAA Only
dues, they have expired. Payment in full of your membership dues will be
required when registering for the Marked and UnMarked 3-D. It would be greatly
appreciated if you renew before these two state tournaments.
You may renew your membership prior to the
State 3-D tournaments by contacting Dave or Sue Blickenstaff at the phone
number referenced above in the newsletter header or in the paragraph below
If you have any questions about your MAA
membership, about joining the NFAA or filling out the application properly for
either MAA or NFAA membership please contact the state secretary, Dave
Blickenstaff at (410) 346-6127, or your own club’s officer that handles your
club’s membership applications.
The MAA Annual Charity Shoot
A Note from Bob Sales, Charity Shoot Chairperson
Our
annual Charity shoot benefiting “Camp Sunrise” a camp for kids with cancer went
well. I appreciated all the help I
received. I am more than willing to stay on as the MAA Charity Shoot
Chairperson, but my job keeps me very busy. If there is someone else that has
more time to give to make all the needed contacts in order to make it a success
each year, I would not have any regrets in handing the job over to another. If
you think you might be interested in being the MAA Charity shoot chairperson,
please contact either myself at 301 459 0763 or SALESOBX@aol.com. You can also contact Colleen McGowan, MAA Pres.
at 703 476 1755 or MCGOWANCOL@aol.com
Thanks again to all for helping or
contributing to the 2004 MAA Charity Shoot,
Bob Sales

2005 MARYLAND
ARCHERY GUIDE
Please be thinking about your ads and what you want to put in them. We won’t need them until this fall, but don’t wait until the last minute to decide what you want to do. If you know of ANYONE who should be advertising with us, please either approach them for us or give Judy the information and she will approach them. We ALWAYS can use more and new advertisers.
PHOTOS: If you have any photos taken this year that would be suitable for the Guide, Judy would love to see them for possible inclusion in the Guide.
As always, questions or comments and suggestions are most welcome. Thanks for helping us out !!

MAA VP OF
AWARDS OFFICE OPENING
Unfortunately we are sad to say Jim McDonald had given us notice that
he will be retiring (hopefully only temperately) from MAA life at the end of
2004. He has told us that he will be giving up both the office of MAA VP of
Awards as well as Treasurer for AAA. He and his lovely wife Marylou would like
to do some more traveling while they are able. He was nice enough to give us plenty of notice. Any one interested
in taking over the job of VP of Awards, please contact Jim McDonald at (301)
776-5086 or at jbmcdon@comcast.net. He can give you all the details as to what
the job requirements are. You may also contact any one of the other MAA
officers. Note: This is one of the MAA
HIGEST PAYING JOBS. (??)
